Homelessness, its causes and remedies, will be the subject of an inspirational Southwell Minster Service on Saturday, 28th January.
The service of reflection, prayer and thanksgiving will be held in support of Framework, a charity helping homeless and vulnerable people from across the region.
Now in its fifth year, the service, at which all are welcome, will feature detailed information about Framework’s local activities and testimonies from just some of people we have helped in the last year.
The service, which will take place between 11am and 12 Noon, will mark the start of Poverty & Homelessness Action Week – seven days of national action to highlight the plight of those who have nowhere to call home.
Chris Senior, Framework’s Head of Fundraising, added: “Everyone is welcome to attend. The service is a chance to give thanks for the generosity of many people who recognise the increased and urgent need for help; and it is a chance to pray that solutions may be found to support so many more people in desperate need.”
Guest speakers will include members of the team who created the Minster’s Christmas crib which is on display until the beginning of February. The team includes people overcoming serious drug and alcohol problems with the help of Framework.
