Carpentry Course

A four week course, which takes place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.30am - 3.30pm.

Skills covered 

  • Carpentry hand skills
  • Joints and fixings
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • DIY life skills such as; shelving, coving, skirting boards
  • Health and Safety.

Learners will leave the course having made a variety of household and/or garden objects that they can take home with them.

 

Who can apply?

To be able to apply for this course you must be:

  • Aged 16 or over
  • Prepared to commit to the attendance required for the course
  • Able to travel to the venue in Nottingham
  • Able to work in small groups
  • Physically capable of the tasks.
