Investors in People
Investors in People is a National Accreditation awarded to Framework in 1997. Every 3 years, Framework is re-assessed to make sure we still meet the exacting standards.
What it means
Having IIP status means that Framework has demonstrated its commitment to workers by:
- establishing the training needs for all workers and services
- delivering relevant, timely training to all new workers
- having a comprehensive in house training programme
- supporting workers who train externally, particularly college and university courses
- having annual appraisals for all workers so that their individual training needs can be identified
- communicating with workers about Framework's business and future plans
- offering opportunities for workers to contribute to the development of Framework's business
- listening to ideas put forward by workers to improve what we do
The Investors In People Standard
1 Developing Strategies to Improve the Performance of the Organisation
- A strategy for improving the performance of the organisation is clearly defined and understood.
- Learning and development is planned to achieve the organisation's objectives.
- Strategies for managing people are designed to promote equality of opportunity in the development of the organisation's people.
- The capabilities managers need to lead, manage and develop people effectively are clearly defined and understood.
2 Taking Action to Improve the Performance of the Organisation.
- Managers are effective in leading, managing and developing people.
- People's contribution to the organisation is recognised and valued.
- People are encouraged to take ownerhsip and responsibilty by being involved in decision making.
- People learn and develop effectively.
3 Evaluating the Impact on the Performance of the Organisation
- Investment in people improves the performance of the organisation.
- Improvements are continually made to the way people are managed and developed.
