Last Orders delivers two specialist alcohol services, which are funded by NHS Nottingham City: Last Orders Specialist Triage Service and Last Orders Recovery Service.

What do the services do?

Qualified nurses offer practical and confidential advice to residents in both Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire  who wish to address the amount of alcohol they consume. The nurses work closely with existing alcohol services to ensure that people get the appropriate support.

The Specialist Triage Service includes the Last Orders Single Point of Access Service, which will be open for referrals and self referrals Monday to Saturday each week and a call service is available on Sundays. Patients will be assessed on the day of assessment by a clinical nurse specialist with blood tests and blood pressure part of the presentation. After the assessment, people are given an appointment for the service most appropriate service to them for within ten working days.

The Single Point of Access Service is located in the 8 till 8 Health Care NEMS building on Upper Parliment Street, Nottingham and is open to anyone with an alchohol problem regardless of the severity. No appointment is needed and self referrals are welcome.

The Last Orders Recovery Service is for dependant drinkers who may have some low level associated physical or mental health problems. The service will provide pyscho social therapies for up to five months and includes abstinence and moderation groups.

This service is located in the city centre and will operate from Monday to Friday with flexible opening times. All referrals for this service will come through the Last Orders Specialist Triage and will be led by a clinical nurse specialist.

This line is managed Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and has an answerphone facility at other times. A few details will be taken over the phone and passed on to the Nursing Team who will make contact regarding an appointment time and venue.
