We work to tackle homelessness right across the county through street outreach services, day centres and drop in facilities, direct access and specialist accommodation, supporting vulnerable people in their own homes and education, volunteering and employment services.
We help all kinds of people including those fleeing abuse and domestic violence, care leavers, rough sleepers, people fighting addiction and those with enduring mental health problems.
The support of local people and groups, including schools like yours, is vital in helping to fund parts of our work which we cannot attract funding for otherwise. Now more than ever, we need your help.
The Sowing the Seeds of Change School’s Challenge aims to boost fundraising activity in schools across Nottinghamshire, and give local pupils an opportunity to support homeless people near them. It provides a series of lessons to explore financial management whilst collecting money to donate to help tackle homelessness at same time. Schools are then challenged to use the funds they collect to create and photograph a large piece of Coin Art.
This Coin Art piece will then be entered into the We work to tackle homelessness right across the county through street outreach services, day centres and drop in facilities, direct access and specialist accommodation, supporting vulnerable people in their own homes and education, volunteering and employment services. Framework is Nottinghamshire’s leading homelessness charity. Schools’ Challenge competition – where a winning primary and secondary school will be awarded £100 in vouchers of their choice, maybe to buy sports equipment, IT materials or books...
And what’s more, for the first school’s taking part, local stationers and office furniture suppliers Geoff Ball will match every £1 raised with another £1 – effectively doubling the money our school raises to help to tackle local homelessness!
