When life takes an unexpected turn, Framework can help you take the right path

I had been working for a crime reduction organisation, helping people get off the streets. I was doing a youth apprenticeship there - it was good for my career but it was quite low wages.

I got into difficulty with rent arrears. Then I found out was pregnant. I had to think about looking after a child on top of my tenancy problems and it all seemed to get on top of me. A friend told me about Framework, I contacted them and a tenancy support worker came round to see me.

The support worker explained Dannie's options to her and sorted some of her immediate problems out, like speaking to her utility company and planning payments for her rent arrears.

Dannie was also put in touch with other agencies who could help her with specific issues, such as exploring her employment options.

Just having someone to ask you how you're doing means so much. My support worker helps with sorting out all of the things you don't really think about when you have a baby to look after.

When Jayden is old enough I'd know like to work helping teenage fathers. I've talked with my support worker about all the options I've got available to me. All these things that I thought I wouldn't be able to do with a small baby are now within my reach.
