Southwell Minster Carol Service

06 Dec 2019
Start Date
6 December 2019, 7pm
Southwell Minster , Southwell, Nottinghamshire

Creating the traditional spirit of Christmas in the inspiring surrounding of Southwell Minster, this will be a service of lessons and carols with plenty of popular carols to sing and Christmas readings.

There will also be contributions from the girls and lay clerks of the famous Minster Choir including a song written specially for Framework – ‘Reach Out and Lend a Helping Hand’.

Organiser Chris Senior said: “Homelessness is part of the Christmas story and so a carol service supporting a charity like Framework will always be a special occasion.”

The service will last about an hour and is followed by seasonal refreshments. Everyone is welcome.

Demand for reserved seats has been considerable and so, with regret, seat reservations are no longer possible.  However the Minster is a large building and around 200 unreserved seats will be available on the night. Early arrival is recommended.

The service takes place by kind permission of the Cathedral Chapter and is generously supported by Ann Rowen, Andrew Spybey and Associates, and Southwell Rotary.
